CHADDERTON’S disastrous finish to their Vodkat North West Counties League division two campaign continued with a 7-0 defeat last night at Bootle in their final fixture.

It was the Broadway club’s fourth straight defeat in which they have conceded 21 goals, though once again they had almost a full team of senior players on the sidelines.

Two goals in a two-minute spell midway through the opening half from Joe Doran and Andy Fowler saw Bootle take control.

And there was further misery as Chadderton conceded five second-half goals as the season’s end could not come quickly enough for them.

Despite their recent troubles, Chadderton still finished fifth in the table, just behind Oldham Town.
