Title joy for stylish Hoppers

CHADDY Hoppers under-11s Blue clinched the North Bury Junior League title — and in style.

Needing only a point against Rossendale United Lads in the last game of the season, they claimed all three with an emphatic 14-0 win.
On the mark were Josh Lindsay (three), Daniel Randle (three), Dan Radcliffe (two), Gilly Clarke (two), Matthew Queenan (two) and Nathan Randle and Reece Howcroft.
The under-11s Red team are also chasing top honours, and they maintained their momentum with a 9-0 success over Summerseat.
Josh O’Donnell led the way with four goals, while Jason Hoyle (two), Nick Fennell, Sammie Bird and Josh Alker got the others.
Under-12s Red had Stephen Wharmby (two), Blane Biggs (two), George Beardsworth, Sean Gleeson, Elliot Barrott and Josh Hughes on the scoresheet in an 8-3 defeat of Bury Amateurs.
And under-12s Blue also hit the goal trail in their fixture against St Michael’s.
Safe in the knowledge that the title was in the bag, they turned on the style to sweep aside fourth-in-the-table Saints 8-2.
Jordan Anderson’s double took his goals tally to 42 for the season, while the other marksmen were Nathen Quinlan (two), Dane Mansfield, Matthew McGladdery, Ryan Whatmough and Ben Aspinal.
Top marks for Heyside

HEYSIDE Juniors under-12s have been crowned champions in their first season in the Tameside Sunday League.

They clinched top honours after a 1-0 win over Hattersley, with Jake Pass scoring the all-important goal.
o BOUNDARY Park Juniors under-17s signed off their club careers with a 4-2 win over Stockport Junior Blues.
James Uren, Warren Seddon, Jack Clarke and Nicky Bower were the net-busters.
Many of the players have been associated with Boundary Park for a decade, starting at under-eights level.
Ray Walker, the manager, said: “They have had some great seasons and won numerous titles.
“The lads have been a pleasure to coach and they should be proud of their achievements.”
The under-11s ‘A’ team, meanwhile, were held to a 2-2 draw by Moston Juniors ‘A’. Wesley Grant scored both Boundary Park goals.
o DESPITE efforts from Jake Green and Tom Heap, Chaddy End FC under-13s succumbed 4-2 by Middleton Boys.
Tameside and District Junior League

3D DYNAMOS under-11s suffered Tameside and District Junior League Cup heartache, losing 1-0 to Wythenshawe Town in the final.

Bury and Radcliffe Youth League
PHOENIX Athletic under-18s will be out for revenge when they meet Heywood St James in the Bury and Radcliffe Youth League title play-off on Sunday.

The two teams met in the League Cup and it was Saints who won 2-0 after a hard-fought tussle.
Athletic conceded the second goal at the death when they were pushing for an equaliser.
CALLUM Beckett bagged a brace for Boundary Park Juniors under-16s, who defeated Chaddy End FC 3-0 in the League Cup final. Kane Fullalove got the other goal.

DANNY Noble scored twice as Chaddy End FC under-14s reached round three of the League Cup.

Matthew James, Tom Shaw, Morgan Cook and Prince got the other goals in the 7-2 defeat of Stand Athletic.
They followed up with a 2-1 win at Westbury Celtic in the league. Cook bagged a brace.
Huddersfield and District Junior League

ELLIOTT Fielding took his goals tally to 43 for the season as 3D Dynamos under-14s completed their Huddersfield and District Junior League campaign with a 6-0 win over Penistone.

Fielding and Matt Ralph notched hat-tricks to seal third place in division three.
Spotlight on play-offs

WARM sunshine greeted the 10 teams who were battling it out for Oldham Schools FA League play-off finals glory at Boundary Park.

Failsworth and Royton and Crompton each achieved doubles on the day, while Radclyffe enjoyed success in the other final.
The Year Seven team of Failsworth defeated North Chadderton 2-0 and the Year 10s swept aside Royton and Crompton 5-1.
But Royton and Crompton matched Failsworth’s feat by edging out Radclyffe 3-2 in Year Nine and they overcame North Chadderton 2-1 in Year 11.
The Year Eight final was won by Radclyffe, who beat Blue Coat 7-3.
Failsworth Year 10s’ success in the Oldham Schools FA League play-offs completed a treble for the team.
They also won the Schools League and League Cup and reached the final of the PlayStation Cup, a national competition.
The youngsters won the northern half of the Greater Manchester section to qualify for the finals in London against seven other teams, but they lost 5-1 to St Peters RC High School, from Manchester.
Failsworth can still pick up a fourth piece of silverware when they compete for County Cup honours next week.

Rochdale and Oldham Youth League

CHADDY End FC under-131s recorded back-to-back wins in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.

They put 10 past Chaddy Rangers without reply — Jordan Rutter (two), Anthony Lally (two), Jaydn Knox (two), David Clegg, Callum Maznyczenko, Scott Brocklebank and Jack Griffin did the damage — and overcame Chadderton FC Juniors 5-2.
Rutter (two), Clegg, Maznyczenko and Brocklebank were again among the scorers.
HEYSIDE Juniors under-14s completed their disappointing season in miserable fashion when Littleborough, the side that succeeded them as champions, dished out a 7-1 hammering.

Even Heyside’s consolation was an own goal!
The under-16s, with Joe Pilkington, Nathan Lamb and Richard Hamson helping themselves to goals, recorded a 3-1 win over Pearsons.
The teenagers followed up with a draw 2-2 against Littleborough Juniors, Shaun Pilling and Danny Booth finding the net for Heyside.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors and Springhead AFC fought out a 1-1 draw in the under-11s division.
Harrison Grant and Jack Lent were respective marksmen.
SPRINGHEAD under-15s continued their winning ways with a convincing 7-1 victory over Rochdale St Clements.

Tom Hall (three), Aiden Dunnington, Adam Gledhill, Thomas Blackshaw and Daniel Orr were the scorers.
South Manchester Girls League

CHADDY End FC under-16s are on a high after they lifted the South Manchester Girls League Challenge Cup.

They recorded a 3-0 win over Poynton Girls, thanks to goals from Beth Morris, Beth Knight and Carla Lally.

THE countdown is under way to Chaddy End FC’s annual six-a-side extravaganza.

This year’s competition, which takes place at New Barn playing fields, Shaw, will be held over the weekends of July 5/6 and July 12/13.
Age groups begin at under-eights, through to under-16s. There are also separate sections for open age men and women.
Entry is £30 per team (maximum of eight players).

3D DYNAMOS FC kick off their summer school at Churchill playing fields on Sunday (start 9.30am).

The emphasis is on fun and games and is aimed at four to six-year olds. FA qualified coaches will be in attendance and first session is free.
