YOU'VE done it!
Oldham Evening Chronicle readers have hit the £14,000 "Kit it out for Dr Kershaw's" appeal goal.
And that means enough money has been raised to transform the patients' minibus at the hospice.
The appeal, launched in September, aimed to raised money to pay for specialist equipment and a variety of extras to upgrade the vehicle.
And now the goal has been reached, it means the hospice can start to use the minibus to ferry patients to and from their homes when they visit the Turf Lane centre.
The appeal earned massive support from Oldham workers, with thousands across the borough swapping their work clothes for sports kits in return for a £1 donation to the cause.
The challenge caught the imagination of readers from shop workers, street cleaners and schoolchildren, to hairdressers, engineers and slimmers. They all put their hands in their pockets for the chance to wear their favourite sports shirts.
