Details:

Thursday 22nd March 2018 We will be making a contemporary design for Easter. We will bring for each person a piece of wood and 10 acrylic test tubes, if you have a glue gun please bring it to fix the test tubes to the wood but if not, we have got several. This example is to create a very natural look, but you can spray the whole thing to make it more "funky".

Your choice of flowers will dictate your final look. As it is Easter you could add egg shells - quail eggs look nice (Bury market), ordinary egg shells or plastic ones. You could cover some polystyrene eggs with wool or string or we have seen some empty "nests" which you could put on and put chocolate mini eggs in. The easiest way to fill the test tubes is using a syringe - these can be bought from Hobbycraft, supermarket pharmacies or sometimes Poundland or we will bring one.

You need small flowers - spray chrysanths, spray carnations, spray roses. For Easter we used some small narcissi and found some small tulips. You can use any small foliage and trails of ivy look nice to link the test tubes.

Entry fee: £5 to non members of Oldham Flower Club
