Gala Fun Day

28 July 2018

Saturday 28 July 2018

Medlock Valley Community School,
Deanshut Road
Fitton Hil
Oldham
OL8 2PN

Details:

The Fitton Hill in Action Group are holding a gala fun day on the date above to celebrate and showcase the great work which takes place in the Fitton Hill community. There will be a range of free activities including bouncy castles, face painting, and penalty shoot out. A wide range of community groups will be attending to showcase and promote their activities, along with external agencies including Oldham Council’s Environmental Services, Early Help, Get Oldham Working. This is in addition to the usual suspects of BBQ tombola, and raffle. Gtr. Manchester Fire Brigade is also scheduled to attend (pending any unforeseen emergencies!).

All monies raised by the group on the day will be used by the group to provide future community events for the benefit of the Fitton Hill community, including Halloween and Christmas events.

We are promoting and celebrating Fitton Hill as a community and wish to welcome people into the area who may wish to live here in the future. There have been a number of changes to the landscape and structure of our estate over the last couple of years and we have seen an increase in numbers of residents in our community.  For too long Fitton Hill has had a negative image in the wider community and this is our opportunity to show how we come together as a community and how our estate has developed and improved. It is also a chance to encourage others to get involved and volunteer within our community and be part of a group who makes positive changes for the benefit of the estate,
