Saddleworth Museum is a community resource with a board of trustees, dependant on volunteers and public donations. We are an Accredited, (no. 191), Independent Museum and our Registered Charity Number is 528225.

Many of our existing volunteers attend on a Wednesday morning and/or during the week/week-ends when they can but starting this month we are running a volunteer evening at the museum from 7 pm to 9 pm. We intend to run these on the second Monday of each month. Please come along and learn all about the work needed to help run a museum.

We require volunteers to help with: –
• Fund raising and Event organisation  
• The Collections
• Cleaning Displays
• Maintenance
• Learning / Education
• The Friends Committee
• The Website
• Databases
• and much more.
