St. No's 5 ,6, or H buses use to go up Ripponden Road. Walked
up Dunkerley St to St Anne's School with my brother, Tom.
Used to help Joe Hey the milkman with his horse & cart.
Played in The Hollow, Moved to Coventry in 1948-9. came
back to Oldham to marry an Oldham Girl in 1964. Emigrated

Shaw Rd/Turf Lane (Royton end). Attended St Annes primary,
later South Chadd Sec for 2 years leaving in '69. Member
Royton youth Club. Remember Bird Cage, Smokies, Cats Whiskers,
Rowntrees Sound, Baileys. Pubs... too many to mention! Married
'72. lived Sholver & Clarksfield before emmigrating
to Oz 1981 with husband Dave. Live Sunshine Coast. Have
two sons, Ben lives Melbourne, Tom WA. Brother, Peter Williamson
lives on the Gold Coast, cousins on Sunshine Coast, Lithgow
& Wollongong, the Murray's from Oldham! Last visited
2003 & 2007 staying with friends, Jack Kershaw in Lees
& Gill Buckley(nee Bainbridge) in Shaw, & met up
with Sylvia Rathbone (nee Littlejohn) who now lives in BC
