- Wendy Brown, aged 48, living in Pathos. Emigrated
to Paphos in August this year (2007) and loving it. Youngest daughter
goes to International school here, and eldest daughter has just
got married, but still lives in UK. Born Oldham, lived in Oldham,

- June Woodhouse (Curran), aged 70, living in
Paralimni. I was born on King street in Oldham, went to Werneth
& Hollins schools. I have a brother Philip. I married Sid
who is also from Oldham and went to Waterloo school, we have two
sons and six grandchildren. We have lived in the Middle East for

- Brian Frost, aged 50, living in Larnaca. I
was born at Boundary Park in the late 1940's and lived at various
addresses in Shaw, Beech St. then the chippy's at Wren's Nest
and facing the bakery on Rochdale Rd. I went to St. Paul's Primary
school before my family moved to Oldham then went to Alexandra
Park and Hathershaw Tech, leaving school in 1965. Had a spell
in the RAF then 12 years in the Merchant Navy followed by 26 years
as a Prison Officer serving at Strangeways and Preston. I retired
in May 2005 and moved to Cyprus in June with my wife Nikki and
12 year old son, Christian. I have many happy memories of life
in Shaw and Oldham and would it would be nice to swap stories
with anyone who would care to contact me. Do I miss Oldham? Answer,
yes, in some ways, but not the weather. I do miss Holland's pies
