ATHLETIC have been handed a home draw against Doncaster Rovers in the first round of the FA Cup.

Stephen Robinson's side will face the Sky Bet League Two club, relegated last year but riding high in second place in their division after a positive start.

Athletic last faced the South Yorkshire club, managed by Darren Ferguson, in the competition in the 2014-15 season.

A late George Elokobi own goal in that second-round tie saw Athletic exit the competition 1-0 on home soil.

Athletic got to the second-round stage last season, beating Mansfield after a replay initially, before losing 1-0 at Sheffield United and missing out on a money-spinning tie away at Manchester United.

Non-league Curzon Ashton set up an away-day at Westfields - the lowest-ranked club left in the competition - after defeating York 2-1 in a replay last night.

The ties will be played over the weekend of November 5-6.
