ATHLETIC fans have been asked to share their memories of one of the club's greatest-ever moments to help the creation of a musical about the club's brilliant 1990-91 season.

WEDDING

'Meat Pie, Sausage Roll' follows one football-mad family - Amanda and her dad Mick, Amanda's fiancé Asif (who hates football, much to Mick's dismay) and some very inconveniently timed wedding arrangements.

Writing duo Cathy Crabb and Lindsay Williams and composer Carol Donaldson, who teamed up for the 2015 smash-hit Oldham-based musical 'Dreamers', are inviting supporters along to the Coliseum Theatre to share their stories to help with the writing of the new work.

Cathy Crabb said: "It's been over a year now since Dreamers was released and people still come up to us and tell us what it meant to them to relive those days.

"Carol, Lindsay and I feel very proud that we managed to reach so many people and give them such a good night out.

MEETING

"Lindsay and I had been meeting for a while, wondering what we could do that could be as great as Dreamers.

"Then one day we were chatting about football and it came to us - what better than to centre a story around Latics?"

Over a free pie and a pint on Thursday, November 17 (6.30pm start), fans can tell their personal stories over a campaign that so famously culminated with Neil Redfearn's penalty against Sheffield Wednesday earning the club the Division Two title in dramatic fashion.

Entrance is free but places must be booked through the box office on (0161) 624 2829.
