GOAL . . . Lee Erwin
PETERBOROUGH 1, ATHLETIC 1
JUNIOR Morias headed home an equaliser as Athletic were denied victory at London Road.
Lee Erwin put the visitors ahead with a superb strike in the 11th minute, latching onto an inch-perfect flighted pass by Ollie Banks to volley on the angle across goalkeeper Mark Tyler with his right foot.
Posh responded and forced an excellent save out of Connor Ripley, who had earlier denied Michael Smith with his feet, when Craig Mackail-Smith spun and directed an effort goalwards.
Chris Taylor went close with a free-kick in the second half and in a scrappy contest, there was little sign of a goal from the hosts before substitute Morias pounced to get across his marker and head powerfully past Ripley on 73 minutes.
Morias also hit a shot not far wide as the hosts pressed for a winner.
At the other end, Tope Obadeyi lashed wide a minute later on the break when well-placed and was sent in on goal on 85 minutes but could not get a clean shot away.
