Johnson rejects ‘tinkerman’ jibes

Monday’s scoreless draw against Coventry was the sixth for which Lee Johnson named the same starting XI.
But the Athletic boss disputes tinkering too much with his line-ups earlier in the season.
“I have seen a couple of things where people have thought making changes is what I have wanted to do,” he said. “But I could go through every game and there are probably only two this season where I was looking for an answer to try to get us going.
“A lot of it is brought to us, whether it be through injuries or suspensions. We have had a bit of fortune at the right time in order to be able to get a settled side.”
NOTTS County have been allocated the large section of the Verlin Stand for Athletic’s final game of the season on May 3.
Officials are expecting the visitors to bring up to 1,500 supporters. Athletic fans with season tickets for the Verlin Stand can move to one of the other two stands by presenting their booklets at the turnstiles.
