Taylor joins Latics board

ATHLETIC have announced that Richard Taylor has been appointed to the club’s board.
An Oxford graduate with a strong background in the world of sport and business, Taylor (30) is to have a hands-on role in boosting commercial and matchday revenues.
The former Hulme Grammar pupil has worked for Deloitte’s sports business group and was behind the company’s review of football finances, while he recently operated as director of a leading London law firm.
He previously worked for Athletic just under a decade ago as a marketing and commercial executive.
“I am delighted to be appointed a a director of the club I have supported all of my life,” he said in a statement on the club’s website.
“Having spent the last 10 years working in the professional sports industry, some of it at the very highest levels, I am confident that I can add a lot to the shaping of a very successful future for the club.”
Athletic’s board of directors now comprises of Taylor, chairman Simon Corney, Ian Hill and Trust Oldham chair Barry Owen.
