FITNESS TEST: Carl Winchester will train tomorrow.
CARL Winchester could miss Athletic’s latest crucial Sky Bet League One assignment at Leyton Orient on Saturday.
The Northern Ireland starlet, who has been in terrific form of late and won the club’s player and goal of the month awards for January, has been suffering with a hamstring strain.
The niggling injury forced him on to the substitute’s bench for last weekend’s home clash against Colchester, though he played the final half-hour.
Manager Lee Johnson said: “Carl’s had a great season so far, so if we had misjudged his fitness and played him last weekend it would have made his problem worse.
“As it is Carl will benefit from a good week’s rest and we’ll try him tomorrow. Hopefully he’ll be okay.”
