THINK TANK . . . Jim Harvey (left) talks to manager Darren Kelly before his exit.
JIM Harvey has left Athletic with immediate effect.
Described by the club as a scouting and recruitment consultant, Athletic says the 57-year-old former Stalybridge Celtic and Chester manager has gone following Kelly’s reconsideration of his coaching and management staff.
Athletic stressed the vacancy doesn’t open a coaching spot for David Dunn, who has been signed purely as a player.
“Jim Harvey is an experienced and loyal football man,” director Barry Owen said. “It is unfortunate that Jim did not eventually fit into the manager's philosophy.”
