I AM hopeful that David Dunn will still put on his boots, because I enjoy playing alongside him.

Everyone can see our new interim manager has an awful lot of ability. But in the end it comes down to how he feels about combining both roles.

I wasn’t on the pitch last week and sitting out the Peterborough game was probably the right thing. On the day of the game my hamstring wasn’t quite right. But another week of training and two games off should have done me some good.

It is never easy in this division and the games we have coming up will definitely test us. After Doncaster, we have a derby at home to Wigan, a midweek trip to Port Vale and then a long journey to Gillingham.

Hopefully, what fans who go to Doncaster tomorrow will see from us is a similar effort that Peterborough produced. After losing the manager, we want to go out there and express ourselves.

Already we have noticed a difference in the way training has been set up. It is a lot more intense and every day we have all been worked really hard.

There have been quite a few changes and I am looking forward to seeing their effect on the field.

Keith Brown has been really bright and has brought with him a refreshing approach. His new ideas have really been taken on board by the players. The squad has taken to him
