Joel really is in top form at the moment

I AM hopeful that I will be fit to play at Millwall tomorrow.

My leg planted as a Crewe player slid in and I twisted an ankle.

It is still swollen up, but looks worse than it is and I was able to take part in training yesterday.

After playing in the last three games and feeling good, as we got the points we needed, I want to keep going if at all possible through to the end of the season, starting at Millwall.

The main thing against Crewe was to get the three points we needed to make sure we stay up.

We weren’t at our best and though Crewe must be where they are in the table for a reason, they have got some young players with talent and showed that against us.

We needed Joel Coleman in top form.

He looks to be playing with an awful lot of confidence at the moment.

From the moment the shot in the second half from Brad Inman left his boot, I thought it was in.

That was a great save from Joel and the one he made in the first half was very important to us as well.

EXCELLENT

From where we have been to where we are now, safe with two games to go, is an excellent effort.

At one stage earlier this year we were eight points adrift, or three wins away.

Now, we are eight points clear of the relegation zone.

But we don’t want the season to just fizzle out and will be aiming to finish as high as we can in the table.

Millwall will still think they have some chance of automatic promotion if Burton slip up and it will be a really tough game for us, but it’s one we are all looking forward to.

As for next season, I imagine contract talks will happen in the coming week or so with a number of players including myself.

It will be a busy time, but for now the focus is on the final two fixtures.
