Goalkeeper Ripley on board at Latics

GOALKEEPER Connor Ripley is Athletic's second new player signing of the summer, after he arrived on a season-long loan deal from Middlesbrough.

The 23-year-old, son of former Boro and England winger Stuart, has come through the system at the Riverside and last season played for Motherwell.

Working under Athletic's new manager Stephen Robinson, who was assistant at Fir Park, Ripley played 40 games and kept seven clean sheets.
