FREDDIE Ladapo is to sign for Athletic on loan, bringing the search for a new striker to an end.
The Crystal Palace forward (23) has agreed to a deal which will see him remain with the club until the new year, with the option of extending the arrangement for the full season.
Ladapo, who signed for Palace in March after impressing on trial, had been training with Athletic earlier this season before being called back into the Eagles' first-team squad.
Palace boss Alan Pardew has agreed to let Ladapo go, handing the player the chance to boost a goals record that has seen him score at a prolific rate in non-league at Grays Athletic and Margate.
