DALE Stephens is attracting plenty of interest from Premier League clubs.
ATHLETIC could be in line for a cash bonus after a reported £1.5million bid for Dale Stephens was refused by Charlton.
The 22-year-old midfielder was the subject of serious interest from Premier League club Aston Villa ahead of tomorrow’s closing of the transfer window.
But with their offer turned down by the Championship club, other interested parties Newcastle, Everton and Sunderland could move in with improved offers.
As part of Stephens’ transfer to the Valley before last season, Athletic are in line for a 10 per cent share of any transfer fee, less the £350,000 it cost Charlton to sign him.
Since a potential fee of £1.5m in the offing, Athletic could realise a minimum £115,000.
