SHOPS in Failsworth have been flying pink balloons to show their unity and mark a sign of respect to the victims of the Manchester Arena attack.

There has been an outpouring of support from the community since the events of last Monday night which saw 22 people killed and countless more injured.

Shops on Ashton Road East, Failsworth, paid their respects as they tied pink balloons to their doors and windows.

The balloons were purchased from The Little Gift shop, which is located on the same road, and owner Lewis Garrity says the store will donate all the profits to help the victims and families of the attack.

Lewis Garrity, owner of The Little Gift, said: "What we are doing is all the profits will be going to the charity to aid the victims and families of the attack.

Lewis said: "We have had loads of people come in, we're getting shops from all over Failsworth putting them up and it feels good to see the community pull together."
