Pots from pot plants put to good use

Date published: 08 December 2011

EQUIPMENT seized at an Oldham cannabis farm has been donated to a community project.

Police found almost 2,000 plants in a flat in Oldham Road, Failsworth, on Tuesday. The pots and trays in which the £100,000 haul had been cultivated have been given to the Grass Roots Community Project, a Failsworth community gardening scheme.

Contact police on 0161-856 8914 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 if you have information about drug production or sale.

The "Grass Roots Community Project" - something of an unfortunate name, given the subject of the story.
