GOLDEN girl . . . Jessica Ennis
FAILSWORTH School pupils have won a national competition to spend a day with Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill.
They will meet the heptathlete on March 27 at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, where she trains.
Failsworth is one of only 15 schools that have won a “golden ticket” to spend the day with Jessica and other Olympians, Paralympians and world champions.
They were pulled out of the hat after being nominated for the Sky Sports Living for Sport competition which aims to boost pupils’ confidence.
Jessica said: “It is going to be a special day and I’m very proud to be hosting it in my home town.”
A total of 20 Failsworth pupils will take part.
