Woman dies three months after accident

AN elderly woman badly injured in a road accident in Failsworth in December has died in hospital.
Doreen Jones (79), from Failsworth, was trapped in a Daihatsu saloon after it collided with a DAF truck in Oldham Road. An 86-year-old man was also trapped in the car.
Mrs Jones suffered two broken legs and suspected internal bleeding and remained in hospital until her death, on Friday. The man, who remains in hospital, suffered a serious injury to his left hand and suspected internal bleeding.
