Limehurst of yesteryear

ANYONE with memories of Limehurst they would like to share can do so on Friday at noon as Regenda Housing and Oldham Council hold an event about the history of Limehurst Village.


The day will involve sharing stories about living on Limehurst. Participants are invited to bring two mementos which best illustrate their life on the estate. This could be a photograph or ornament. A lunch will be provided and local transport can be arranged. For more information, email andoliver@btinternet.com or pop in to Regenda’s office at St Chad’s.


THERE will be a Christian Aid Soup Lunch held at the mission hall at St John’s Church in Failsworth on Saturday at noon. The aim will be to raise money as part of Christian Aid Week, which is a worldwide charity support relief project which takes place once a year.


FIND out if your two-year-old child is entitled to 15 hours’ free childcare at Hollinwood Children’s Centre from 1pm tomorrow where visitors will need to complete an entitlement check. Appointments must be made in advance by calling 0161-633 8417.


ENJOY crafts, stories and songs at the Roman Road IM church on Thursday. The session, which takes place at 10am in the church hall, is for carers and their babies or toddlers. Contact first to enquire about available spaces before attending on 0161-682 4761.


WIND down after a long day at work by picking up a book at Failsworth Library’s rush-hour readers’ group from 5.30pm onwards on Thursday. Explore new authors, different genres and meet new people.
