Three year exclusion order on ex-lover

A Failsworth man who threatened to ruin his girlfriend’s life after she dumped him was ordered by magistrates not to contact her for three years.
The court warned Electrician Stephen Crawford (31) that he faced up to five years imprisonment if he breached the restraining order.
Crawford had refused to accept his relationship with Chantelle Hoyland was over. During a furious row in her home in Moston he pushed her and grabbed her by the hair. Before she jumped into her mother’s car to go to work he shouted “I am going to ruin your life”.
Mrs Byers said he chased the car and tried to intimidate Chantelle by tailgating it and attempting to overtake.
Crawford, of Elmtree Close, admitted assaulting Miss Hoyland last August and was sentenced to carry out 120 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £100 compensation to his ex-girlfriend along with £460 costs.
