Brass appeal

HAVE you played a brass instrument in the past? If so, then Failsworth Band are desperately looking for more members.

The band can’t take on beginners, but can recruit advanced learners.

The band meets up every Tuesday at Broadbent Luncheon Club on Lord Lane, Failsworth, from 7.45-9.30pm. For more information, call Grace Barnett on 0161-688 4848.


ST JOHN’S Church is holding a table-top sale in the mission hall, on Church Street, on Saturday from 10am until noon. Tables are £5 and there will be refreshments. Call 07974-831 467 to book a table.

COME and see a midwife in the comfortable surroundings of Failsworth Children’s Centre. Initial midwifery appointments are available on Mondays from 9-11.50am. You will need to book an appointment in advance, which can be done by calling the centre on 0161-770 8398.


A CITIZENS’ Advice Bureau drop-in session takes place at Failsworth Library on Tuesday, June 17, from 9.30am-12.30pm.
