LEARN about the origins of the First World War at a talk at St Margaret’s Church by Terry Jackson, chairman of the Western Front Association, at 7pm on Thursday.

FIND out what’s happening in Failsworth at the Malton Gardens Luncheon Club meeting next Tuesday at Cafe Nostimos from 12.30pm. This is a warm, friendly, social gathering with food and refreshments available.


NAME the toy and have a look at the various bric a brac stalls at the Earls Lodge Christmas fair, on Albert Street. It takes place on Saturday from 1-3pm and there will also be refreshments on sale, as well as a tombola.

The mixed male and female session is every Tuesday from 6.30-8pm while the women only session is on Sundays from 6-7.30pm.
