Find the elves

A COMPETTION to find the 100 Christmas elves stuck on Failsworth shop windows is open to all school children until Wednesday, December 10.


The winner will win a prize at the Failsworth lights switch-on on Friday, December 12. Entry forms are available from schools, Failsworth Town Hall and the library. Place your entries in the post-boxes at the town hall, library or Lord Lane post office.


TRADERS can be in with the chance of a prize by entering the best dressed shop competition. The winner will be presented with a trophy at the Christmas lights switch-on on Friday, December 12.


Marshals are wanted for the Failsworth lights switch-on to provide assistance with road closures and marshalling crowds. If you are 18 or above, contact Failsworth Town Hall on 0161- 770 4083, or Councillor Elaine Garry on 07866-55375.


COME and see Elsa, Ann and Olaf from the Disney film “Frozen” switching on the Christmas lights on Thursday at the Oasis Academy in Hollinwood, from 5-8pm. There will also be a Christmas market on the night.


RESIDENTS can raise any neighbourhood or safety concerns at the GMP police surgery tomorrow at Failsworth Health Centre, from 2 to 3pm.


IF you have any concerns about you child’s speech development, visit the speech and language development session at the Hollinwood Children’s Centre tomorrow, from 1.30-3.30pm.
