Knife terror as couple grapple with raiders

A COUPLE have spoken of their terror after being victims of a knife-wielding gang during a robbery in Failsworth.
The attack at Ziggy’s Store in Propps Hall Drive happened at about 10pm on January 13. Police have only just issued a plea for witnesses.
Sreeskangham Arumainayakam was punched in the face and wife Yalini (35) suffered a cut thumb.
Yalini said: “One of the raiders had a big knife and was jumping on the till while another was fighting with my husband. The man with the knife started waving it around and pointing it at my husband. It was terrifying.”
Three men burst in while Sreeskangham (39), was behind the counter. The trio ran off with the till.
The offenders are described as white, of slim build and were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
