Attack victim’s skull is fractured

A man has been left with a fractured skull after being ttacked in Failsworth.

The 32-year-old was approached by a man and assaulted outside The Lock Wine Bar on Oldham Road between 2.30am and 3am on Sunday.

He was kicked and punched in the head and body and left unconscious by the attacker who fled the scene. The victim was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Det Cons Leigh Carnally, of Oldham division, said: “A man has been left with a fractured skull, after what seems to be a totally unprovoked attack.

“Thankfully, the victim’s condition is not thought to be life-threatening, but the attacker violently assaulted him and then left him in seriously hurt in the street.

“Unfortunately, we don’t have a description of the attacker as the man was left unconscious, but I would urge you to come forward if you witness the assault.
