War memories

TAKE a look at wartime memorabilia at the Failsworth Historical Society meeting from 7pm tomorrow at the Broadbent Luncheon Club on Lord Lane.

Mark Johnson and Mike Lawson will be discussing Chadderton’s involvement in the First World War.

A PURSE, laptop and some cash were stolen during a burglary on Medlock Road on Wednesday night.

SING from the same hymn sheet and make new friends at the Failsworth Community Choir meeting in St John’s Church on Thursday from 7-9pm. All are welcome regardless of ability.

Also grab yourself a warm cuppa at the church’s coffee morning from 10.30 tomorrow.



TRADITIONAL stories will be read from now until Easter at the Failsworth Baby Club. The group meets next Monday from 2pm at the Failsworth Children’s Centre.
