Cupids arrow-in on tour

AS hinted at in these pages a fortnight ago, Cupids have now announced details of their first major tour of 2017.

Initially, Jake, Sid, James and Ryan will be supporting highly-rating Reading-based rockers the Amazons on four dates between March 2-6.

Joiners in Southampton is the first port of call on March 2, followed by Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff (March 3), the Central Library in Coventry (March 4) and Liverpool's Buyers Club (March 6).

Once those gigs are done, Cupids headline at 10 more dates, between March 30 at The Finsbury in London and May 27 at Sheffield's Leadmill.

The band play a 'home-town' show at Manchester's iconic Night and day Cafe on Wednesday, April 26.

Post-punk outfit play live


OLDHAM-based post-punks Drink and Drive have announced details of their first gig of 2017.

The sharp-edged local outfit head to the popular Blind Tiger venue in Bolton on Saturday, February 25, for a special IndieRocksUK radio station showcase night which also features headliners Kyris, as well as Vida.

An after-party with DJ Paul Holmes follows until 4am.
