SATURDAY sees a proper punk party take centre stage at the Bank Top Tavern in Oldham.

Christened “The Flair Witch Project”, numerous bands will belt our their punk tunes from 3pm on Saturday at the free entry all-day event.

On the bill are local favourites The Crash Mats and Wonk Unit, as well as Don Blake, The Franceens, Riggots, Manifest, Mr Shiraz, Nervous Twitch and many more.


ROYTON aces 5ft Fez are set to pack out a hometown gig this weekend following a string of high-profile support slots to go with their recent EP launch at Manchester’s Hard Rock Cafe.

Matt, Ross and Joe are playing the Railway Hotel on Saturday, so get there early as the pub is sure to be extremely busy.


ELECTRO hopefuls Goda Tungl have lined up a forthcoming gig at Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe. The talented Oldham youngsters — Scott Brown, Harrison Boase, Tom Nixon and Sam Holtom — will perform on a night that should coincide with the release of their latest six-track EP. CUPIDS, formerly The Gramotones until last month, have announced seven exciting support slots on The Blossoms’ forthcoming nationwide tour. Oldham favourites Jake, Sid, Ryan and James will provide chief support on October shows in Leeds, Sheffield, York, London, Portsmouth, Bristol and at The Ritz in Manchester on August 23.
