Recreation to release debut EP

TEENAGE indie hopefuls The Recreation are to release their debut EP “Be nice or leave” in October.

The EP will include four tracks — “Irrelevant”, “Blockade”, “Behind” and “Hindsight”, and can be pre-ordered now.

Follow The Frakes

ROYTON outfit The Frakes have revealed that they plan to release a newly-recorded EP before the end of the year.

Now a four-piece outfit and heavily influenced by the mod and new wave sounds of the 60s and late 70s/early 80s, The Frakes have also posted a new official band logo on their Facebook page and details of a new local date. The talented youngsters will play the White Hart in Royton on September 18.



Fez on the road

HUGELY popular trio 5ft Fez head north this weekend to feature at the prestigious Great Northern Mod and Ska Festival in Bedale,, North Yorkshire.

Matt, Joe and Ross will be rubbing shoulders with legendary bands such as Bad Manners, the Lambrettas and the Chords. More details on the Fez’s Facebook page.



DON’T forget Oldham electro hopefuls Goda Tungl play Manchester’s Night and Day venue on Thursday week, September 3. Further down the line, the four-strong outfit will play at the Oxford Bar in Manchester alongside Carl Morris and one other band.
