MUSIC EXTRA: MUSIC fans should head to Rochdale for Greater Manchester’s biggest celebration of music and food this Friday and Saturday.

Tens of thousands of people are expected at the Rochdale Feel Good Festival in the town centre.

The free event, now in its eighth year, promises its best musical line-up to date, with The South - including members of The Beautiful South - headlining the main stage. Joining them will be Toploader, who will perform from a long list of chart singles.

Bringing glamour to the evening will be the “Lady Gaga of jazz”, Kirsty Almeida, who will perform tracks taken from her latest album, “DejaVoodoo”.

They are joined by local ska group the Uplifters, plus Manchester’s Shakedown Stockholm.
