Naylor's reaction demand

WHEN Oldham take on Bradford Bulls at Bower Fold on Sunday (3pm), Scott Naylor will be looking for a big response from a much-changed side which crashed 50-10 at Batley Bulldogs.

Centre Kieran Gill, on loan from Castleford Tigers, wasn't available.

Including positional switches, there were eight changes from the side which beat amateurs Haydock in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup.

Gill, Danny Grimshaw, Jamel Chisholm, Joe Burke and Sammy Gee were out, replaced by Liam Thompson, on-loan Tuoyo Egodo and Liam Bent and dual-reg duo Sam Wood and Mikey Wood.

With Scott Turner injured, Sam Wood was drafted in at full-back with Richard Lepori switched to left wing.

George Tyson, second-row against Haydock, went back to his original centre spot, replacing Grimshaw, and Mikey Wood packed down alongside Danny Langtree.

Thompson was back after injury at loose-forward and Bent (19), a young prop or second-row from Salford Red Devils, made his debut off the bench.

Describing the performance as "a bad day at the office", Naylor said: "It was a disappointing result and a disappointing performance.

"We had prepared well. concentrating on what we needed to do to win at Batley, and we had showed the boys some footage.

"This week, as we get ready for Bradford, we'll be working on things and talking about things and then we'll see what happens against the Bulls."
