Hard work set to start
Date published: 12 November 2012
THE build-up to new-look Oldham RL Club’s 2013 Championship One campaign begins in earnest this week.
Having already met coaches Scott Naylor and Lee Spencer for the first time, a squad which currently includes nine new players from other clubs will assemble tomorrow night for the start of a tough pre-season programme over the next three months.
It is understood the season will start later than usual towards the end of February or early March.
Training will take place in two-hour sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturday mornings.
Each player has been given an extensive manual which outlines the new coaching regime's basic principles and requirements.
Described by head coach Naylor as the players’ ‘bible’, it will be used as a point of reference throughout the season.
Naylor has also written to each of last year’s season-ticket holders, introducing himself and asking for their continued support.
Details of match-day admission prices, the cost of season tickets and special benefits for season-ticket holders will be released by the club tomorrow.
