Reds warm-up for Roughyeds

OLDHAM RL fans will get their first look at Scott Naylor’s new squad in a warm-up match against a strong Salford City Reds side at Whitebank on Sunday, February 10 (3pm kick off).
The Roughyeds’ Super League partner club will be in Perpignan to play Catalan Dragons that weekend, but their party at Whitebank will include those full-time first-team players not required in France as well as leading youngsters.
This will be the first of two pre-season games for Naylor’s men and the only outing at Whitebank until Rochdale Hornets are in town a month later on Sunday, March 10 in the Northern Rail Cup.
The other warm-up match is for the Law Cup against Hornets at Spotland on Sunday, February 17 (3pm).
Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton said: “The Salford game will be our only pre-season run-out on home soil. It will be a tough examination for our new squad, against a significant number of full-time Super League players, but that’s what we want in preparation for the battles ahead.”
Admission prices for the Salford game at Whitebank are £7 adults, £5 concessions, £3 under-16s and the usual £2 transfer to seats.
