Thompson looking good

OLDHAM new boy Liam Thompson, who had a shoulder operation soon after signing, is likely to play his first match for Roughyeds next month.
Back in full training, he is said to be planning the launch of his Oldham career in the under-20s against Rochdale at Whitebank on April 5, or Keighley the following Thursday.
The 21-year-old former Widnes forward comes from the same stable as his ex-Vikings team-mate Josh Crowley.
Once he is back to full match fitness and ready to push for a place in the senior side, coach Scott Naylor expects him to impress in the Roughyeds jersey, just like Crowley.
Naylor said: "Another week or so and Liam will be ready. He's very skilful, as he shows in training, and I'm looking forward to seeing him play.”
