PROMOTION-CHASING Oldham Rugby League Club and the Regenda Group are joining forces to improve access to sports and wellbeing initiatives in Limehurst Village.
Regenda will sponsor Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash with North Wales Crusaders at Whitebank (3pm kick off) and will have a major presence at the game along with other community partners.
Regenda's Limehurst project manager Chris Standish said: “Roughyeds are flying high in the league and Regenda is right behind their push for promotion. We are delighted to work with them on projects which will make a real difference to the lives of Limehurst residents.”
The latest scheme is part of Regenda’s 10-year plan for Limehurst, aimed at attracting £5m in investments over the next two years to provide new homes, jobs and community programmes.
Roughyeds will use Sunday’s game - expected to attract the biggest crowd of the season - to showcase elements of the club’s community work.
Said club chairman Chris Hamilton: “We are constantly trying to look at ways to provide opportunities for local residents and make a difference to their lives.”
