OLDHAM Rugby League Club’s squad-building job for 2015 is expected to gather momentum with more signings this week.

Ins and outs so far are:

OUT: Mo Agoro (to Hunslet), Dale Bloomfield (Rochdale Hornets), Paddy Mooney, Danny Whitmore, Brett Robinson, Mark Hobson, Ben Wood.

IN: Jarrod Ward (from Halifax, on loan to Gloucester All Golds).

RE-SIGNED ON NEW DEALS: Josh Crowley, Danny Langtree, Kenny Hughes, Steve Roper, David Cookson.

Bloomfield becomes the latest of Rochdale’s five new recruits, who also include Oldham-born half-back Danny Yates, a former St Helens youngster, who was at London Skolars last season, on loan from Halifax.

Describing Bloomfield as “a proven scorer at this level”, Hornets boss Ian Talbot said: “When we first drew up a list of targets for next season Bloomers was up there at the top.

“In Bloomers and Gareth Langley we now have the two best wingers in the division and we’ll be a real threat out wide.”

Bloomfield returns to his former club after scoring 32 tries in total in his two seasons at Whitebank.

Oldham’s opening game in the new 14-club Kingstone Press League One is against their derby rivals at Spotland on April 3.

The first home game, on Sunday, April 12, is against newcomers Coventry Bears, who have signed their first young player from a Super League club in winger Ben Parry from St Helens.
