Mason’s return

CLASS ACT . . . Nathan Mason.
ON-LOAN prop Nathan Mason is set for a recall to a new-look Oldham RL side at Barrow on Sunday (2pm).
The 21-year-old Huddersfield Giants forward might also be joined by two dual-registered youngsters off the Super League club’s player-production line.
So far un-named, they will be required to give Roughyeds a vital edge in what promises to be a tight and hard-fought quarter-final in the iPro Sport-backed League One Cup.
Danny Langtree (hamstring) has not made it. He will now aim to be ready for next week’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup fourth-round tie, away to Sheffield Eagles.
Said coach Scott Naylor: “After winning and playing well in our two cup-ties against Coventry, there’s a different attitude in the camp.
“Going to Barrow is something else though, and I’m thinking of making a few changes because I’ve got to pick what I consider to be the right team for this specific and very important job.
“Apart from Langers, everybody is fit so I’ve a few big decisions to make before I name the side.
“At our level they don’t come tougher than Barrow away.
“We’ve got to test ourselves against teams like that and go out with the confidence and belief that we are good enough to beat them.”
