ALREADY without the suspended Sammy Gee for the last two games of the regular season, Oldham may now lose prop Adam Neal for key games in the promotion battle.

The former Salford forward, a major player for the League One leaders, was sin-binned for a high tackle on Joe Bullock in the Roughyeds' 28-12 win against Barrow. The RFL's match review panel charged him with a “reckless tackle” offence, with a recommended suspension of two-three games.

Gee, charged with grade C punching at Newcastle, opted for an early guilty plea with an automatic two-match ban, ruling the vice-captain out of the final two games of the season against Swinton and Oxford.

Like Gee, Neal has never previously been sent off and is also eligible to offer an early guilty plea. In this this case the club has confirmed Neal will appear at Tuesday's disciplinary hearing with club chairman Chris Hamilton. A suspension would begin with the Swinton game
