Naylor warns of Leigh backlash

OLDHAM RL coach Scott Naylor expects Leigh Centurions to be “absolutely on the ball” for Sunday’s Kingstone Press Championship clash.
While Roughyeds were beaten 22-0 at home to London Broncos, Centurions were stunned 24-22 by Batley Bulldogs.
Naylor admitted this weekend’s hosts were massive favourites to go up to Super League this time, because of the money they had spent on their squad.
“They’re playing in the Championship with Super League players, but we’ll go there with the intention of trying to play at a higher level than we did against London,” said Naylor.
“If we can improve on last week it will be a positive and a step forward as we start to look towards Dewsbury’s visit to Bower Fold.
“I’m expecting Leigh to be absolutely on the ball after getting beaten at Batley. They’ll be desperate to win for their new coach. We’ve worked on a few things this week that we weren’t happy with against London, so we’ve got to put them into practice.”
