Forward concern for finale

DANNY Langtree, a "major doubt" for Oldham's last game of the season at Dewsbury on Sunday (3pm), may have to wait until early next year to make his 100th appearance for the club.

His milestone match looks certain to be put on hold because of his painful shin injury.

The 25-year-old back-row forward made his senior debut off the bench in a 28-18 Championship 1 home win against Workington Town near the end of the 2012 season.

Liam Thompson (shoulder) may be okay, but definitely out are Will Hope (unavailable) and the injured Danny Grimshaw, Craig Briscoe and Sammy Gee.

Richard Lepori will be back in contention after missing the Whitehaven game because of a one-match ban, but it isn't known yet whether the dual-reg facility with Huddersfield Giants, which has provided Tyler Dickinson for the last few games, will again be available.

Said coach Scott Naylor: "It will be nice to go to Dewsbury, having already secured our place in the Championship for next year.

"Swinton can knock them out of the play-offs so the Rams will be fielding their strongest side and going flat out at us.

"We let ourselves down when losing 46-10 at their place in June, so it would be nice to make it two wins in a row and finish on a high."
