YOUNG martial arts expert Libby Genge bagged a great bronze Stateside.

The 13-year-old was up against medal hopefuls her senior in the Pan-Kids International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation Championships in Long Beach, California.

Competing in the orange belt category for her weight, the teenager clinched a cracking third place.

She hones her skills at the burgeoning Stealth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club in Chadderton.

Head coach Steve Campbell said: "Libby is one of our up and coming members.

"She is really dedicated and the medal is reward for the hard work she puts in."

The club, on Bourne Street, continues to go from strength to strength. They have 60 junior members, with adult numbers up to 100.
