BRIGHT FUTURE: Aaron Tesz.
Cricket: TALENTED teenager Aaron Tesz is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his uncle Luke Procter after earning a call-up by the Lancashire development team.
Current county star Procter came through the ranks at Oldham and Royton before making the grade at Emirates Old Trafford.
Now 15-year-old Aaron, who attends Hathershaw School, is ruffling a few feathers at Royton and has recently made his Lake Garage Central Lancashire League first-team debut.
Aaron has now played three games for Royton’s first XI, and though he has yet to take a wicket, he has shown plenty of promise.
The young paceman made his mark on Lancashire duty last week; in the first of two games against Yorkshire, he took three for 19 as the hosts were skittled for just 63.
In the second match Yorkshire struck back to win and level the series. Aaron took one for 29 off six overs and scored 18 with the bat.
Mum Melanie said: “If he could be as successful as his uncle Luke at Lancashire, then all the family would be so delighted for him. We’re so proud of what he’s achieved so far.”
