WITH two team victories, Crompton House won the overall title in the senior girls’ Oldham Schools Cross-Country Championships at Chadderton Hall Park.

They also finished runners-up in the Year Nines and third in the Years 10-11.
Overall in second place was Blue Coat — the team won the Year Nines section — while Oasis Academy landed the Years 10-11 crown.
Saddleworth was runner-up in the Year Eights, third in Year Nines and third overall.
Chantelle Johnson, of Failsworth, was all smiles after winning the Year Sevens race, while Sophie Hall crossed the line in first place in the Year Eights category.
Hulme’s Olivia Green put her best foot forward to finish ahead of her rivals in the Year Nines section, and Years 10-11 honours went to Ruth Sinclair of Blue Coat.
