MOLLY Taylor just couldn’t stop scoring for Heyside Angels in the North Manchester Girls’ League last weekend.

During two games – one for Angels’ under-16s Inter team and one for the under-15s Navys – Chadderton girl Molly scored an incredible 12 goals.

The Royton and Crompton School pupil doesn’t turn 15 until the summer, but in the under-16s victory against Uppermill she scored SEVEN times, following that with another five in an amazing 10-5 triumph against gutsy Glossop North End.

Proud dad Dave said: “It was quite an amazing weekend. Every shot she took seemed to go in the net. She has definitely got an eye for goal, but she’s never scored anything like 12 in two games like that.

“Heyside Angels give out a club ‘Golden Boot’ award for scoring 50 goals in a season, and she went from 32 to 44 (from 30 games) in one fell swoop. I don’t know whether she’ll ever repeat anything like that.”

Molly – a Bolton Wanderers fanatic like her dad – first joined Heyside Angels back in 2007 - but this is only her second full season after having a break.

Molly is now well on track to reach the magical 50 goals for the season as her two teams still have several games to play.
